The given copy will be a handbook of civil engineering calculations for all engineers who are working in the field of design and analysis.
There are
many useful tables and indexes available in this Handbook which are used by
engineers for easy calculations and analysis during their work on design and construction
sites.
Chapter One
contains structural steel engineering and design where a brief discussion is
made
on different
type of steel structures in terms of analysis and design.
Whether it
is a bridge construction where different types of cables are used or truss structure
is employed or whether it is an industrial building where steel columns and
beams or composite structures are used.
The overall
effect of different type of stresses, thermal effects, torsion, shear flow and other
effects are discussed.
Different
methods of determining deflections are also discussed in this chapter.
Design of
various structural steel components will also be a part of learning.
Some of them
are design of beam with reduced allowable stress, design of cover plated beam,
design of
continuous beam, design of shear stresses in a beams with different methods,
design
of welded
plate girder, design of double angle tension member and compression member.
The analysis
of all these members by different methods are also placed.
Design of
different connections and wind shear analysis are also available in the first
section.
Our second section is very important for engineers who are working in the field related to concrete technology where we will discuss reinforced and prestress concrete engineering, their analysis and design.
We will
discuss design of different types of beams, their analysis and we will find out
the capacity of beams like rectangular, T-beams, slabs and other structural
components.
Discussion
about the design analysis of the compression member and tension members are
also available.
Rectangular,
circular columns will also be the part of this section.
Prestress
concrete design and analysis will be available in the part 2 of this section, where
pre stress concrete, their use, their design and analysis will be done.
Section 3
include timber engineering, where design of timber constructed members will be
available.
Section 4 is
related to geotechnical investigations, where the discussion about soil
mechanics is present.
Section 5 is
about surveying, road design and highway bridges.
Similarly,
the next section is about fluid mechanics and hydropower engineering, where
different mechanics fluid, whether it is hydrostatic or dynamics are discussed.
Buoyancy,
viscosity and other factors will be discussed in this section.
The next
section include water supply and storm system design, sanitary, wastewater
treatment and control design and analysis will be available in section 8.
Section 9
will include calculation related to economics of engineering, construction,
difficulties and their solutions.
